Solar Homes Rebate $1888 from 1 January 2020

Solar Victoria’s rebate for rooftop panels will be $1888 from 1 January 2020, with the first of two allocations for the month opening on 2 January at 12 noon. At least 2000 rebates will be available, in the first of two allocations for the month.

The final release for 2019 will take place on 17 December.

Even though the rebate is dropping slightly in 2020, it’s still a great opportunity to get a big discount on a new rooftop solar system, cut your energy bills and reduce the impact of climate change.

Solar Homes will support more than 29,000 rooftop solar PV systems being installed in the second half of this financial year.

It’s helping Victorians to significantly cut their energy costs, particularly those who take additional steps to make their homes more energy efficient.

And with no-interest loans available, to be paid back over four years, there are plenty of reason to make a New Year’s resolution to join thousands of Victorian households taking control of their energy bills and getting the benefits of cheaper power.

The rebate amount for solar storage batteries and solar hot water does not change in 2020.
